Adding PSX games to your PSP.

Ok, here is a guide im putting together to help you mod your PSP to play any PSX game you would like it to, The mod itself is completely legal, Uploading games to download however is not.

Im asuming you have a PSP by now, otherwise this will be a waste of time, first of all, your PSP should be of a fine quality, no problems starting up games, and no possibility of a " Bricked PSP "

#1 Download Dark_Alex PSP Hombrew version 3.80 M33 --- http://www.dark-alex.org/index_psp.php
The reason I suggest using this, is because, this is the firmware that I use, and other firmwares may struggle with this method, if you have a higher firmware version, you can downgrade from Dark_Alex, or upgrade from there if you need to.

#2 Applying the firmware, Follow the Read-Me. file given with the firmware, if you cannot find it from there,
Www.Google.com

#3 Make sure you have at least a 1 Gig Memory Stick ( otherwise it won't have enough space to hold anything ),

#4 Setting up the games files, Now this is where it starts to get slightly complicated, when you turn on your PSP, go to the far left menu and click USB connection --- http://i514.photobucket.com/albums/t346/XenoFrame/DSC00067.jpg

( this is provided you have already installed the firmware )

#6 Double click PSP, now it will look like this --- http://i514.photobucket.com/albums/t346/XenoFrame/DSC00069.jpg


#7 Now Double click game, it will be empty, so create a new folder, ( with the name of the game you are going to insert there )


#8 Now the game you downloaded will have 2 files, Eboot.PBP - Keys.Bin., drag and drop these into the new folder, although some games don't have the Keys.Bin, it should look like this --- http://i514.photobucket.com/albums/t346/XenoFrame/DSC00070.jpg


#9 Leave USB mode on your PSP, and scroll to Memory Stick, It should look like this --- http://i514.photobucket.com/albums/t346/XenoFrame/DSC00071.jpg
Mine only loooks like that because I added a digital theme, anyway, then click Play, and away you go, provided the person who uploaded the game did it right, it will load the PS1 Logo and work perfectly, and questions I will happily answer, and for PSP games, I will not bother making a seperate Guide, I will just make something else later.

Also, I didn't add, if you have a PAL PSP then NTSC games won't run on the PAL unless you have a patch, OR, you can use this converstion software --- http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/Articles/PALvsNTSC/PALvsNTSC.asp
This will give you all the information you need, also Www.Google.com can find you another converter if you are stuck with it, then again, you might aswell just download the conresponding PAL or NTSC game.

I just added Resident Evil 2 to my PSP,
Both discs run different games, so no need to change them over, just keep one EBOOT file per disk, and keep them on different slots on the Memory Card.
